I just received this brand-new upper/new to me upper, that I'm very excited about. I tried to do some research and found very little information on this particular model. I'm posting this hoping that some of you very knowledgeable individuals could tell me a little bit about this upper. It's a Colt 10.3  monolithic upper model LE6945CK. Can't wait to take this out and shoot it on my SBR lower. Thanks for looking and excited to hear any information that you have to share

Who did you buy it from?  How much did it cost? Can you show a picture of the bolt?

They have been around for years, very nice upper.  It's basically an SBR version of the 6944 (14.5 inch barrel) and 6940 (16 inch barrel).  It appears your bayonet lug has been milled off (not that you need it on a 10.3). Some have the bayo lug, some don't.  They come with an A2 flash hider, looks like someone removed that and added a Noveske KX5.
Here's a link to 6945/6946 pic thread:

I took it in on a trade for a S&W 1911 I had up for offerings.

Congrats, I am picking up the same upper next Thursday from Ken Elmore in person*.
I bought a Colt LE6933 (11.5" bbl.) and will add the 10.3" monolithic upper to create an LE6945CQB model.

I'm pretty excited about it and can't wait to get out this weekend and put some rounds through it. I'm noticing that some have bayonet lugs and some don't. I wonder if they come from factory that way or was it milled off at some point by someone? I showed it to my dealer today and they offered me almost retail for it. Maybe I have something special on my hands
