I have the same upper on a F1 SBR but kind of want the factory SBR.

Is it worth it to buy the SBR and sell my upper?

The factory MPW comes with a lot of quality upgrades. I bought two, a 5.56 and 300BLK, for $1100 each and am very pleased with them, however I don't think I would have spent $1600 on one back when they were plentiful, but now that they are difficult to find I would probably spend a little more. You get a lot for the $.

I've got one and I like it.  It's a quality rifle, plus factory SBR's are nice to have.

Thanks for the replies.  I think I may try to talk them down a bit and see what happens since they have had it for 18+ months now.

You just answered your own question. If they have had it for 18 months, it's over priced and no one has been willing to pay that price for it.

12.5 is $1099 at MGW

I would get that and add 9 inch then sell 12.5 or keep it as you prefer.

Anymore of these AAC MPW 9" out there?  Or has supply dried up?  I think I read that AAC is done manufacturing them?

That is pricey .... I bought a 16" 5.56 rifle from buds last year for $930 I believe it was .... it was under $1000 and came with the Geisele g2s

The 9" MPW's were never as cheap as the 12.5" much less the 16" rifles.  You could find the 12.5" rifles for $1300 sometimes but the 9" were always closer to MSRP that I found.

If you want it (and can wait until after the 41F deadline for it to transfer) they still had it as of the other day so IM me and I will get you their info as I passed since I already have the upper.

If you can roll with that price I'd say fo on that 9". Nothing like a smooth and clean Form4 on a factory SBR, and an AAC factory SBR at that.

thanks, jlficken, I'll PM you.  Would be nice to find one local to avoid Form 3, but I'm not sure there are too many options at this point, if that's the rifle I want.

AAC said the other day on here that they would be focusing their efforts on areas other than factory SBR's and to not expect any more.
