Are they selling these as SBR's? Or do you have to buy a pistol and Form 1 it?

I want to buy a MPX in 9mm with a 4" barrel and collapsible stock. Every time I look around I only see pistols...

I would prefer a stock SBR on a Form 4 because I don't want to engrave it.

I would like to have a setup like this....

They're making them, but I've only seen one or two for sale on Gunbroker.  I know there was a Gen 1 8" barrel SBR a couple of months ago.  Right around the time the Gen 2 guns started showing up.

I've seen a few online as well but not many.

I just bought mine as a pistol and F1'd it.  I don't see engraving as that big of a hassle and it was nice to put my hands on it and shoot it first.

These look interesting.  Without having that much knowledge about them, I can only imagine the mags are expensive.

The mags will stabilize eventually. Demand will eventually even out.

Yeah, I agree. I just wish it would happen much faster lol.

I was thinking one of these as a SBR with an Aimpoint T2 and suppressor would be a badass home defense gun.

$46.30 per each shipped with the coupon that comes with the MPX.

It's still pricey but for a niche fun gun the magazine cost is not even remotely on my radar.  It's not the kind of platform where "stockpiling" lowers and magazines really comes to mind.  If SBRs were suddenly unrestricted and you could really take advantage of what a 9mm SBR has to offer without stressing about hoops and documentation, then maybe I'd feel differently.

I saw that exact configuration for sale today.   ACME Guns in Seymore Indiana.  It was a GEN I.

They are at the INDY 1500 show this weekend, but I assume the brick & mortar is open.

I've been buying them at 55 lately. They're available. Yes 55 is high but I sure as hell ain't paying 80.

Forgive my ignorance, are the Gen 2's SBRs out in the wild yet?
