anybody running essentially a pistol upper as an sbr.
lately i've been thinking about getting a super shorty upper for my shorty.
so first question is:
pictures!!!

and then, anything super special with spring and buffers?

Nope, I run my pistols as pistols and sbr's as sbr's

My fav 7" PWS barreled sbr

waiting for 2 .300  barrels in the mail now to finish a 7.5" and 10.3" pistol build using Shockwave blades from KAK. I have a Sig Brace but, hate it like scratching my nuts in church.

Posted these in the SBR pic thread. 8.5" Noveske navy barrel.

Actually just got back from shooting it, but i dont have pictures with the MD timed and it all buttoned up. Will put some up.

I was worried about cycling, and throwing fireballs... the PWS FSC is awesome. no bad flash, and no issues after about 75 rounds this evening. Its my wife's and she likes it.

I like both of those guns. Your shorty  7 inch is about the size of the Glock mag dedicated 9mm I am building on my new Runner Runner lower. I'm going to use the Phase 5 short buffer tube, MFT Minimalist stock, 7.5 inch barrel with a KAK muzzle device and a Gibbs side charging upper. Building it as a pistol, then will form 1 it  as an SBR. Pics coming when I get it done.
I do like that shorty of yours.

Its a lot of fun...  Everyone should have at least one in their collection!  Edit: its 7.5", by the way

Edit 2:  To your question about springs, I upgraded the extractor spring and added the 'doughnut.'  Also running an H2 buffer and Wolf extra power spring, but that might not be so necessary...

7 inch uppers are extremely cool and fun and did I mention cool?

You should buy one and put a LAW folder onto it.

i used a NEA CCS on my 7.5 build, the spring that comes with it works fine, i would definatly suggest an adjustable gas block, especially if you plan on suppressing it.

My 7.5" runs just fine suppressed with a standard non-adjustable gas block. Blue spring, H2 buffer setup.

I have a 7.5" Noveske Diplomat chambered in 6.8 SPC.  I love it as it is very handy because of it's shorter length but I get much better ballistics from the 6.8 SPC round then I do from 5.56 at this length.  Mine runs 100% but I had to swap out the buffer for a heavy 7 oz. tungsten filled and went with a Wolf 15% extra power recoil spring.

Here's my 7.62 Tok SBR.  Works with my .30 cal can.  It does require an empty buffer, and I've also lightened the bolt carrier to help it fun reliably.  Not nearly as much gas pressure nor volume with the Tok compared to the 5.56 or Blackout.
