I got a stamp to build my first SBR a few weeks ago and I'm putting everything together but realized i am going to have A problem when it comes to shooting both supersonic and sub sonic ammunition through this rifle because of the differences in bullet drop between the two.  Nikon makes a pretty nifty scope for 300 blackout rifles with the proper BDC reticle but a big scope like that on a short-barreled rifle would look pretty stupid.  can anyone recommend a red dot or holo site that has reticles for 300BLK sub/super?

Here's my build in progress but it still needs a muzzle device for my suppressor and handguards

I don't see many used ones pop up for sale, but this is an option . . . 300BLK ACOGs

I have a TA-33 ACOG on my Rainier 8.5" 300 SBR. Came as a package deal, too good to pass up. Optic is awesome and clear. Has markings for Super and Sub. In all honesty if it had not come as a package deal I would not have it now.

I have a Burris AR-556 with a Burris Fastfire III mounted on top of my 10.5" Spikes. Decent glass and eye relief. Reticule is a bit chunky.  I also have a Mepro TruDot sight on my 10.5" 5.56, but I've used it on my suppressed 10.5" 300 to good effect out to 100 yards wherein I'm not overly concerned with bullet drop compensation.

Probably not helpful but.....  I sighted mine in for subs and then shot supers and just keep a cheat sheet for the different POI handy.

My 300blk main job is to be shot suppressed so it stays zero'd for that.

I use a 1-4x AR223 and it does have hash marks, but the suppressor/non suppressor difference isn't a straight drop, the POI on mine also moves to the right.

As someone else mentioned, an offset or piggy backed red dot would work.  That or a set of offset iron sights.

I use a micro on mine, 8.5".  It is zero'ed at 50/200.  You might want to look at EoTech, they make a 2 dot .300blk reticle, and Primary Arms has a 1-4x or a 1-6x that has a .300 reticle as well.

Mine wears a Vortex PST 1-4x.  With the gun zeroed at 100 with supers, 2.5 mils on the elevation turret gives me zero for subs at 50.

I will say that the PST, though a nice scope, is a tad heavy.

Haven't used it but found this interesting. Leupold.

Turtle - subs
Rabbit - supers

Obviously.

The 300 Blackout reticle is an extension of the CM-R2 reticle line, made in partnership with Advanced Armament Corporation for their new weapon system. This reticle provides the shooter with a ballistic solution that seamlessly transfers between subsonic and supersonic ammunition, as indicated respectively by a tortoise and a hare. The 300 Blackout reticle is comprised of a 1.0 MOA dot surrounded by a 5.0 MOA circle for a perfect combination of precision and speed. The hash marks on the horizontal stadia can be used for leading targets moving at 5, 10, and 15 mph respectively. The tic marks have been moved to each side of the vertical stadia, with the left side used for the subsonic round in 50 yard increments and the right side for the supersonic round in 100 yard increments. For best results, the 300 Blackout reticle should be zeroed at 100 yards using supersonic ammunition. Once zeroed at 100 yards, the center point of the reticle also serves as the 50 yard aiming point for the subsonic rounds.

I'm using the Leupold holosight on mine.
Love it. The reticle is etched in the glass, so you're not screwed if the battery dies

Here she is with the suppressor mounted up.  Now I just need handguards and optics.  Thank you for the suggestions.  I'm going to seriously look at the Vortex.

I see that Nikon has a P-300 supersub with a BDC reticle but from what I can find the reticle is not actually calibrated for any known load, super or sub... it's just a BDC reticle that you use their software to match your load to. Seems a bit cheesy but apparently people like it based on the Amazon reviews.

I figured out that at 100m the 6moa dot on my red dot can be set so that the top edge of the dot hits for supers and the bottom edge hits for subs. Good enough for torso hits out to 150m with either load.

I'm interested in the TA33 version. I'm going to use an EOTech EXPS3-0 for the time being though.

I have been looking for a scope as well for my 300BLK 11.5" which will run supers and subs as well. I plan to use this rifle to hunt white tail, axis and hogs at a place where 125yrds will be the max shot. I was looking at the Trijicon TR24 (1x4x24) until I learned about their new TR25 which is the same scope but (1x6x24). The price was a bit high for my taste around $1360 everywhere I was looking and the TR24 was going for about $850-$1000. I was on hold until I came across a deal on a new TR25 that was priced lower than usual and I plugged in a coupon code so i fo'ed and picked it up at $1050 shipped. I am anxious to get my hands on it since it is a new release and see how it goes. Not sure yet but I plan to zero for subs and when I go hunting just rezero from there. I do have an rmr and an angled mount which I could setup for the subs but will see where I end up.

I'm low budget.  I'm running a Primary Arms 1-6x with the ACSS 300 blk reticle.  So far it works very well.  It's no acog but it's nice for the price.

The Nikon scope has the most horrible reticle ever.  I've got one in the closet that I won't even sell because I don't want to be partly responsible for someone else's bad choice and subsequent headaches.  THey put a thick NATO cross in the center that serves no purpose and really messes up the sight picture.  Good glass, and the 2-7X seemed like a nice range.  I was also successful at calibrating the reticle to a few loads but it took a while.  The biggest thing, is I will never again buy a scope without covered or otherwise locking turrets.  I found myself off by a full revolution after pulling the rifle out of my bag or letting it hang against my side in the field more than once.

I ended up with one of the Hilux/Leatherwood CMR4-AK762 units and it matches up REALLY closely, and has great glass and tons of information in the reticle.  It looks busy at first but it wasn't bad at all and actually made ranging stuff really fast and intuitive.  Also, MIL/MIL with locking/covered turrets, and I was sold.  The one potential issue is it is set up for meters, so for initial zeroing I had to zero at 200yards for a 217 yard (200M) zero and verify at 100 yards for a 108 (100M) zero.  But now that's done all the ranging is internally consistent and the math is actually easier (for me, at least) in meters.  Careful shopping as the older version of these float around for <$350 but the newer (better) version is in the $420-450 range.

The only reason I didn't go with the SWFA 1-4 classic was the exposed turrets, and if I were step up I really like the SWFA SS 1-4 and 1-6 offerings.

Honestly if I weren't using it for hunting I would just throw a T-1 on there and call it a day.
