You request a copy. Takes a varied amount of time to get. Most likely a month or so. |
|
I have one from April 20 or so, and another two from July. I'd like to shoot the April one before it snows. I assume I'll get it in the middle of October or so |

Form 4 silencer trust: 186 days and counting. Makes me sad 196 and counting for me 199 ..was approved on July 20th but USPS lost the stamp!!! What happens next then? Some advice from a person who went through this mess of requesting a certified copy: Request a certified copy after 30 days from your approval day. 1. I had issues with the [email protected] when emailing the request. The emails never bounce back to me and they (ATF) told me they didn't receive my requests when emailing it. 2. Use the "4501" fax number the old fashioned way; fax your request to them. They actually received it the first time. No cover letter was needed. 3. Submit your request before Friday of every week because they process the copies on Fridays (I was told this by one of the NFA Call Service Personnel) 4. Do call the following week to ensure that you request is in the Que (received). Have your NFA info ready just like asking for a form 4 information (trust name, serial number, etc.) 5. After you are in the cue, be ready to wait up to 30 days. I was over 90 days and had to do two certified copy requests. So do not be surprise it if takes a very long time. If any one need more info on this process let me know. I hope no one has to go through this crap. |
|
I waited and called - they "never received my email". The lady found my original email and walked it up stairs to start the process. This added yet another week on my wait. I have had zero luck with any of my NFA item this year, it has been nothing short of a pain in my ass. |

My last stamp went every fast from the approval time to stamp being delivered thank god. Only 11 more to go! |

Yesterday I received a letter in the mail from DOJ on my 2/17/16 Form 4 for my DD MK18. Here is what it says:
"Firearm description varies with our records, see highlighted section(s). - Model registered as DDM4. Please verify." My serial number starts with DDM4xxxxxx. Does anybody else with a factory DD remember what they put? (EDIT - I just looked and its a Form 4 dated 2/17) |

My serial was DD036xxxx. No problems. Hope this is helpful. |

Negative. This is how long it has been so far. I expect it's probably gonna be another month, or so. I should have made that a little more clear. |

Congrats. But WOW; I filed on 4/3, and still waiting. Is anyone else thinking the guys with loads of stamps are getting passed over for first timers, and folks with only 1, or 2 stamps? That's sure how it looks. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Is anyone else thinking the guys with loads of stamps are getting passed over for first timers, and folks with only 1, or 2 stamps? That's sure how it looks. Nope. I had 7 pending before 41f. I'm slightly ahead of the pack on approval times. All mine were e-filed, trust. The batch approvals put me ahead of the curve. |
|
My first stamp came in a little slower than others on the forum here. So id say your theory is wrong. I am waiting on a second now that probably has two months left, the wait is brutal.

CZ Scorpion Evo. Submitted 4/3, approved 9/19.
I am not at all excited about this because... A) I haven't yet had it engraved. B) I don't yet have the conversion parts. C) I've no plans to shoot it unsuppressed and my Obsidian won't be here for quite a while. This post was typed using Ben Stein's voice. |

APPROVED.
I filed for my CZ scorpion evo and a 10.5" barrel 300blk on April 5, 2016 and got my approval email this morning September 19, 2016. I'm pumped, these are my first two SBRs |
