So apparently "exercise constitutional freedom" isn't a reason to create a firearm to the ATF.
Just got several Form 1's (paper) returned. Also had an issue with the "SBR" prefix on the Spikes lowers. They want an "A" prefix, but there isn't one on this particular lower. |

Form 4 Mailed 7/12/16
Received 7/14/16 Pending 7/18/16 Approved 5/24/17 Call today from dealer 6/2/17 Control # 201774XXX Five more Form 1s to go... sent all six forms together. The Form 4 went pending on 7/18, while the Form 1s went pending on 7/20. Nice lady at ATF said that was odd. I didn't think about it until after we hung up, but the Form 4 was sent with a check, while the Form 1s were paid by CC. Finally all of my stamps are in. Was waiting on my last 2 form 1's. mailed 7/12/16 and received today. Sig Mpx and Mega AR15 lower for a 300 blk build.
Both of these stamps are dated 7/4/17. I'd say that's pretty patriotic approving tax stamps on the 4th or maybe its just the double time pay on holidays. |

Mailed my forms on July 12th and I just received them back with a letter noting application was incomplete.
Letter states the following: Incomplete transferee / applicant's information, see highlighted section(s) J. A yes or no answer is required. j. Is this firearm being reactivated? YES NO All of my form 1s prior to this were done electronically and on all approved form 1s received, this field was always unanswered/blank. Since the firearm was never deactivated, the logical correct answer is NO. Can anyone please confirm? Thank You! |

EForms couldn't be used for a reactivation, thus you were never prompted to answer that question. My EForms guide is pretty much dead thanks to PhotoBucket, but here's a poor quality pic of one of the first pages you saw. See the 3rd item from the bottom. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/126679/IMG-9521-256886.png Same reason the Yes/No questions on page 2 were blank, as all these questions were for individuals and only entities could use EForms. The answer is almost always No. On the form itself, you'll find this under Definition (1)(k): Reactivation. The restoration of a registered unserviceable NFA firearm to a functional condition. This action incurs the making tax liability. View Quote |

Called NFA branch yesterday and was notified my Form 1 has been approved and should be on its way. From April 17 to August 17, not bad. I had started this as an experiment to see if having an FFL and SOT made a difference. Form 3's are taking a matter of hours or days now; hopefully Form 1s will get faster, too!

Mailed Form 1 3/31/17, card charged 4/4, stamp in hand 8/31 only did this as an experiment. I am an FFL and 03. wanted to see if that made any difference. maybe it does. I got a muffler i ordered last week on a form 3 in 4 days including the weekend. I think they've turned the corner. I've had to call several times over the last few months because i moved my business location. The folks at the NFA answer the phone, their e-mail and call you back. MAGA!! Mod edit...that's a Post-41F form, and should be in the Post-41F thread |
