If you can stretch that a little higher, this might be the ticket for you: https://www.primaryarms.com/Primary_Arms_1_6X_Scope_with_ACSS_7_62X39_300AAC_p/pa1-6xakser.htm

IMHO stay away from the Nikon P-300.  The glass is good but it is large and the reticle is awful.

I ended up saving up a little more and getting the Hilux CMR4-762AK for around $400.  It is super clear glass, great features like locking/covered turrets, 30mm tube, and the reticle (while seemingly busy at first) is very well done with a ton of information on it.  It also works with the 300blk out quite a ways for the BDC and since it has normal MIL lines as well it can be adapted if necessary.

The only problem I have with it really is the eye box is relatively small.

The illumination is not daylight visible, but the reticle is designed pretty well for daylight close-up engagement.

It is not long, but it is also not light.  I usually run micro red dots, though, so take that FWIW.

Edit: wrong P/N for optic

I went High Speed Low Drag. I bought the Acog.

Best thing I ever bought. Thinking about buying another one as the funds become available.

I run this Leupold VX Hog on my .50 Beowulf and I freaking love it! I am seriously thinking of putting it on my 8.5" BLK I just finished. I highly recommend this scope because the glass is super clear and I really like the circle in the pig plex reticle. The only thing I would ever change about the scope is to take the "pig plex" lettering out of the reticle. That is just a minor thing to me though because the whole scope is just so great! I also have a Primary Arms Gen II 1-6x, but I think that scope is too long and heavy for my SBR I am trying to keep light.

less than 300m? just slap a red dot on it and go. PA makes decent ones. Should be plenty. If you wanna spend more, there are always aimpoints and eotechs, but for the close up stuff I'm not sure a bunch of magnification is all that useful. I run a 3x magnifier on my Tavor mainly so I can 'scout ahead' and maybe take the occasional looong shot.

This is the other optic I've been mulling over. I have at least 6 other Primary Arms optics and I really like all of them and have never had a single problem. The price on this is awesome for a 1-4x with illumination and it has great reviews!

FYI Primary Arms pulled that one from the market because lots of people were having big failures with it.

Any of the primary arms would do good, i think a red dot would be best. This one IMO would be the best This

I have an ACOG with a Chevron, and I find with full power ammo, im hitting at the top of chevron and with subsonic at the bottom of the chevron. Works out pretty well so you may want to find a scope that would do something similar.

I have the lucid and I don't particularly like it.  But I don't like red dots very much.
