Hey Guys,
I could use some help here. I am ready to order a Aimpoint Pro from Larue for my 10.5 LWRC SBR pictured below. I just picked it up last week, it had been 5 months on a trust. I am leaning towards the LT129 Cantilever mount versus the LT 150 mount. Any input would be helpful or any pics you guys have of your SBR with these mounts.

If you don't need quick detach capability there's nothing wrong with the stock QRP2 mount.

I went with the LT129 just to get a little extra distance between my eye and the sight.

An LT150 mounted at the front of the receiver would have put the PRO at the same place.

The cantilever will give you more options if you want to add a magnifier.

I've got the LT150 with a CompM2 and it was a squeeze getting the magnifier on the there.

You're using the mount wrong. The purpose of a cantilever is (in flawed terms) to project something forward further than its structural base; right now, the mount is not doing anything the basic QRP2 mount won't do. Move the mount forward to the end of the receiver's rail so it suspends the optic forward, over the handguard.

I have a aimpoint mounted in an arms cantilever mount but that's bc it was a combo mount so I can use the flip to side mount on my magnifier. But I also own a pro, and it works just fine with the factory mount. I believe the forward mounts were more for standard ar's with the plastic handguards. So you can mount the optic further forward since they have less rail. Not an issue with most of our ar's since everyone is rocking some sort of free float rail.

I changed my mind and ordered a Aimpoint H-1 two MOA from Larue today with the LT660 tall mount. I have one of these on my LWRC IC but in 4 MOA. Cost was a little more but the set up works great for me now. Thanks again guys and when I get it all set up I will post up some pics.

More or less - this!  The LaRue mounts are nice, but unless money is just burning a hole in your pocket for a mount, then a trigger would be money-better-spent.

Already had Rainier Arms install the SSA for me last week. That was on my list of add on parts for this rifle.
