Might want to look at Samson. They have a big enough ID (IIRC) and they have a 7.6 and a 9". The 7.6" might be the best option for you. Won't break the bank either.

when i mounted my specwar on my 11.5" barrel with an 11" rail i had to use a gemtech full turn spacer to gain close to the clearance I needed, and then had to take a dremel to the inside of the rail. Realistically you need closer to 3/4" than 1/2"

Yeah, i have a 10.5" 556 with 10" SLR and Specwar 5.56 and it looks like it was made for it...just cant find much in the means of 8" rails...might mean I go with a 10.5" 300BLK instead.

I have an 8.2" barrel and 7.6" rail and it will *just* work with the YHM mount but I don't think the Specwar or Saker mounts would work. I've got a Saker on the way one of these days but can't check until ATF gets their shit together and send me my permission slip!
You'd likely be fine with a 7.2" rail. |

I have an 8.5" barrel with an 8" SLR handguard using YHM Phantom. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

I have a 8.2 Noveske barrel with AAC 51t muzzle break. A Daniel Defense 7" Omega fit great. I have a 7" SLR rifleworks lightweight keymod on the way and I'm going to try that out.

The Seekins MCSR will fit, but I prefer to have the mount out of the rail.
