Im a lefty,  so the GB doesnt help me much.
I have a bcm ambi and a raptor,  both with the DIY rtv trick,  and they work great for me.

I think RTV works just as well.  I do have a gas buster, but it would get expensive to outfit everything with them.

RTV + drill a hole in a normal handle. Costs a few bucks.

i use a BCM charging handle, it has a lip on the end that helps prevent some of the gas.

Gasbuster is worth it just for the comfortable handle.

I use a raptor with the rtv fix. I'm a lefty and run suppressed...but use an adjustable gas block...no gas to face. Period.

Lots of crap in that gas that one would rather not take in:  http://www.firearmsid.com/a_distancegsr.htm

Great read, thanks for the link.  I didnt know that it was that bad...  While Im shooting suppressed I certainly get a lot of gas up in my nose, and its very strong, but I never really thought much of it.
I will also mention, I'm using the newer BCM CH.

But I will try not to inhale as much anymore while shooting
