This guy here-http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_7_143/845181_NFA_Engraving_in_NE_Indiana.html

Has done 2 of mine, $35 if he has to pay postage, $30 if you include a return lable.

Usually one day turn around. I get mine back in a week.

Lots of happy customers on the Indiana Gun Owner's board.

The engraving I got from Ident came back filled in.
You couldn't see bare metal like his engraving.

So? That's what Brichwood Casey Aluminum Black Metal Finish is for.

2 minutes and mine was filled.

I'm pointing out there is other options, that are cheaper and faster.

I might have gone with Ident, had they never returned phone calls and emails.

I got mine done for 1/2 the cost and returned in less than a week.

I wouldn't say just as good if you need to buy something to fill it in after he's done.

Ident always returned my emails, fairly quickly at that.
Yes it took about a month to have the engraving done, but who cares when you're waiting 6 months on a stamp anyways.

How's that? Big whoop if ain't filled in.

As long as it's the right depth and what I wanted, I don't give 2 shits if it ain't filled in when I get it back.

This ain't a safe queen..it's more marks on it than some exposed metal from the engraving.

Let's see-$2.95 for the Birchwwod at Wal-Mart. You are right, it's a horrible thing that I did not send it to Ident, pay double and wait a fracking month..at lest it would have been filled in, and that's all that matters...

I stand by my Ident statement.

If you wish to look elsewhere, fine, but Ident is awesome.

+1

I don't mind the month wait, now the six month wait for the stamp I do mind.

FYI, I contacted a local engraving company and they wanted nearly $100 to do the engraving.
And he wanted me to leave it there over the weekend.

I found an FFL that does engraving with a CNC machine ...
He held my lower for two weeks till he finally told me to come pick it up because he didn't have the time to do it.

Ident told me it would take a month to get done when I contacted them, and it was done within a month and they did an excellent job.
Next month another lower is going to Ident.

I wish I saved myself the time/headache and sent it to Ident right away.

Well I did.

Don't matter, got it done faster and for 1/2 the cost. Plus, I did business with someone in my state.

I got my AR receiver back from Orion Arms yesterday . It took 17 days and $65 + return shipping. He engraved my trust info under the trigger guard and it came out great. I also had one AK receiver engraved and that was only $45

I've seen Ident's stuff and wouldn't recommend anyone else for detailed work as done on retro rifle lowers replicating images, now for just a simple ingraving like SOS LIVING TRUST I wouldn't ship it out of town.
