THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
Title says it.

If you are planning to build a 300 AAC BLK SBR (or already have), what barrel length are you going with(already gone with) and why?

The SBR barrels I've seen produced thus far are as follows...

8"
8.5"
9"
9.5
10"
10.5"
11.3"
12.5"

So, out of these lengths, what's your fancy?

EDIT- have 8" in the poll twice, if I can figure out how to edit it, I will

I wanted to go as short as possible, but I could never find any Noveske 8" barrels in stock. It came down to a couple of days before my daughter was born, my ability to blow money on guns seemed to be fading fast, and a local shop had the AAC 9" barrel in stock. I figured 9" is still plenty short and it is made by the same company who made my suppressor.

back before the BLK was official I had 300/221 barrels in both 10.5" and in 8".

The 8 was cute and all that .. but I never could get it to cycle without the suppressor for supers or subs. I think that 10.5 is about perfect - yields high FPS for supers and works well with subs.

8.5 and runs like a champ with or without a can. Subs and supersonic.

We went with 9" AAC uppers. I fell in love with that Knights rail the first time I handled one.

Actually I have a 9.5" and a 10.3". Not too short and not too long; doesn't give up much in velocity.

Going to go with a 8" Noveske whenever I get a notifier that one is in stock

Maybe the 7.5" model from one of the local AR MFGs if I get a price I can't walk away from.

I voted 10.5" as that is closest to my 10.3" 5.56 barrel, no other reason.

I have both a Noveske 10" and a CORE15 9".

I voted 10"

Maybe I should have voted 9.5"

*8" or 9", but I voted 9". I don't thnk the 8's will reliably cycle subs with out a can. I love my 9" AAC upper and that KAC rail is great. My can is still in jail...

nice setup....very tubular

I'm getting ready for a suppressed SBR build soon....and was leaning more towards 10" but just might have to go with an 8" after seeing some and rethinking my options.

8" my Grim Reaper Tactical barrel runs anything I put in it. Supers, or subs, with or without a can. Love the length.

^Nice!

Yours is the first one I've seen with the VTAC rail. I just put the same rail on my 300 SBR, but I have a 9" barrel. Unfortunately, I'm still months out from getting my can. The YHM looks awesome on there!

You guys make me envious...

How do you like the YHM 762Ti Phantom?

That's one of the suppressors I'm considering purchasing. I read quite a bit of positive reviews of it, especially how little it weighs considering it's relatively high dB reduction and durability.
