Why would you have preferred the 7" to the 6.7"?

I'm currently debating what I'm going to do with an SBR lower (a IC-PSD kinda clone in .300 BO [or 5.56], or a Mk18 Mod 0, or something) and your gun might go on "the list".

Some people don't like too much or any barrel extending beyond the handguards. I am also one of those people.

Just finished the upper.  Ballistic Advantage Modern Series 11.5" Gov't profile with a 10" Centurion Arms C4 rail.  Still undecided on a muzzle device so the A2 is temporary until I figure it out.

Me too, but in his pic it looks right up against where the vortex is. Just wondering where the 7" would hit.

I'm looking at options for my own SBR build and also don't want a lot of barrel sticking out.

That configuration has changed in to this now;

ETA: I ditched the shitty scope mounts in that pic in favor of an Aero SPR mount the day after that pic was taken.

I'm starting to miss the CASV-EL though and might do another one.

Not sure why (must be a magical combination of parts or something), but I really like this build.

EDIT:

I think it is how the Larue CCO mount/optic sits on the upper.

I'm with you on the CMR. Ever since I first saw it I thought it was the best looking rail on the market. The fact that I love the functionality is a huge bonus because that comes first in my mind.

I am using an adjustable gas block. It's a Syrac Ordnance. It functions great but is almost touching the rail on the bottom. I don't think it normally would but it lines up right where one of the screw inserts are so it's reinforced at that spot on the inside.

This is a 10.5" Noveske with carbine gas if that helps.

Okay cool. I was debating on a CMR for my 12" build but wanted to know whether an adjustable gas block would fit. Thanks man!

No problem! I've also heard that an SLR Sentry 7 AGB will fit underneath the CMR as well.
