View Quote sweet riser... I have a larue lower 1/3 mount that I want to put on a riser but wondering if it will be TOO tall... or just wait for the new redback one high mount from KAC to come out... |
|
|
The 1/3 on the KAC .75 riser is too tall for me (thats the height the RB1 mount will be)
The absolute on the .75 or a 1/3 on a 5/8" riser seems to be my sweet spot |

MRO on a kinetics development group mount and yankee hill foregrip. The lower is an AVGuns/GunPoint complete lower with an mvb stock. But I swapped out the original hera arms grip for the miad, metalform mag for a brownells mag and the POF trigger for the echo trigger. |

Bored today and switched it up a bit.. will probably go back to the CASV rail though.
Yes the M6X doesn't have a tape switch.. it's zip tied to the CASV and I didn't feel like taking it off Attached File |

Still trying to decide on VFG. (and I was out of bolt catch springs) http://www.yourdesignbff.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/300-Blk-Build-2.jpg ***When I first started Cerakoting I bought a blast cabinet from Harbor Freight and 50 lbs of aluminum oxide media. I am a hobbyist, not a trained applicator, but I always followed their guidelines to a T. On my last build I got some overspray on a Robar NP3 finished barrel. You would think with teflon in the NP3 that the cerakote would have had aheasion problems but it was a bear to get it off. Had to use high grit sandpaper. So for this build I decided I wouldn't bother blasting the parts and it went so much faster and easier. Gave it a good soak in acetone. Baked the parts I knew would "grease out" and soaked those again. We will see how it holds up but I have found that if you use it, the rifle is going to get beat anyway, with wear and aluminum showing. If you want a safe queen then I would say blast it. But if you are going to use it, just soak the parts. I said all this in case anyone was thinking of trying it. All you need is a decent compressor and the Iwata spray gun which Cerakote uses. I got mine on Ebay for about half their price and it shipped direct from Japan. Get the test tubes and mesh strainer from Cerakote and a gallon of Acetone from Home Depot and get to it. Everything cleans up with Acetone which makes it super easy cleanup. View Quote Sweet looking rig...nice job! |

Just put the lpk together today and mocked the upper up.

It is 5.56. SiCo has a 1/2x28 direct thread adapter for the Omega, it is just not included with the original purchase. I ordered one when I ordered the 5.56 flat front cap.
