Hello,

Im building a new longrange Rem700 aac tac .308 and have been looking at Seekins 20 moa one piece bases and low rings. Are there better options for a $800-1k scope? I will be shooting out to 500+.

I know that this has been beaten to death, but i am having trouble finding solid info.

Take a look Here for scopes in your price range. Depending on what scope you get low rings may not work.

Oh im not looking for a scope, i meant as far as rings and a base, what would be a good option for glass in the $800-1k range. The scope will be a 50mm.

Oh ok. Misunderstood your op. Seekins make great products. You can't go wrong with them. For a 50mm scope I would go with medium rings.

Seekin's products are right up there with any other top tier brand. Depending on the contour of your barrel you may be able to get away with low rings and a 50mm objective. I prefer to mount my scope as low on the rifle as possible especially if you don't have a adjustable cheek piece. I have found a solid cheek weld on the rifle helped my shooting.

Here is a old picture of my rifle with Badger low rings, heavy varmint contour barrel and a NF NXS 3.5-15x50mm
