It depends on the magnification and other options you want, but in that price range, I would be looking at the Bushnell Elite Tactical models, Vortex Viper PST, or Weaver Tactical models.

It really depends on the individual's preference and the type of shooting you intend to do. Some people like as much magnification as they can get for punching paper and would use a 24x scope at 200 yards. I commonly shoot a 3.5x scope that's smaller than a toilet paper roll, out to 600 yards on gallon water jugs. Only because I'm used to it. A general rule of thumb that I've heard, is at least 1x for every hundred yards. Most people prefer a lot more than that, however. It's just a matter of what is comfortable to your eye and the type of targets you intend to shoot. If you get a chance, check out some scopes of varying magnification, looking at a target that's roughly half a mile away. That should give you a good idea of what would work for you.

Are you looking for a SFP or FFP scope? What about moa or mil? We might be able to help you a little better knowing this.

Please refrain from using logic. It bewilders the left and makes them angry.
