Eddiesar15, i have the same 10 tact as u. I could only find it at bud's, that where u picked urs up at? Got it about last aug for 975.00 plus cc usage fee. I tried 168&175 smk, ok but not special. Tried some ncc 155 and worked up to 46.5 gr of varget. 2925 fps with single digit sd, aves .5-.6" and used it to smoke a yote at 970 yds this past jan. I indexed an ops inc brake on it and bedded the hs and called it good. I might put on a cdi bottom metal this summer, not for sure yet.

U might not fair so well against my savage f-class6br 1-8 or my 6.5 cm lrp. One is honest agging .27"@100, the other is .43" aggs@100. Both hold less then 1/4 moa vertical at 1k; and horizontal, well that can get ugly if i have my head up my ass. Been known to happen occasionally..

Savage needing to get their story straight, not you.

Only had the PSS out to 100 yds, that was more of tongue in cheek talking.. Working on getting time to go out west p-dog shooting.

I have had my Garand out to 600yds at Camp Perry open sights and all and did very well my first time out there. Never tried Fclass or any BR shooting...someday.

found mine via guns int. thru a business in prescott az. paid right at $1100 after shipping and transfer. got it in march of this yr

I tried just a few 168/175 smks and I quickly noticed that the 11.25 twist flys the pills differently (as to be expected).

Im going light as you but not pushing mine as hard. Im not a hunter, just an addicted shooting junkie that craves precision. Im leaving my loads the way they are (for now). 85% of my distance shooting is out to 6-700yds. with the bennie colley brk and the light pills and powder chrg, it makes for smooth shooting (for me).......If i get the craving for heavy pills and distance, Ill grab my LR308. I got the Savage to not only have a precision bolt gun, but to at least try to slow my ass down on components expendetures ( I hope)

Try shooting a Garand prone without sand bags and with only the use of a sling at 600 yds! Not that is what separates the men from the boys!

That is fine... but to say you had 2 bad remmys so Savage is better is not fair to Remington or any other manufacture that produces a product. Get your (manufacture, not you... ) story straight on how you handle those cs problems. That would piss me off like you wouldn't believe!

I'd gladly go head to head with you with my 700 pss

This friend of mine is actually the younger brother of my best friend, whom I've grown up with. He has a Rem700 PSS in .223 that he bought a long time ago and I swear it shoots laser beams. I'll have to dig up and post the picture of the 15 round group he shot at a fairly quick firing rate. Basically, 15 rounds of Sierra MatchKing 52gr bullets sitting over some H335 powder, measured .387" from edge to edge. It was just one little tiny hole at the end.

Very soon after he was no longer my friend.

Been looking to find an older used PSS in .223, my .308 is from '94 and they are snatched up as soon as they go up for sale! The older ones seem to shoot better.

roger that...I prefer to stand when shooting with my sunday crew. some of the younger guns out there do pretty darn good standing. my older vision is starting to get the better of me

SAVAGE ARMS +1

glad to see they got it taken care of. Savage completely replaced a rifle of mine one time. I was more than pleased.
