We get asked a lot on "What rifle or scope should I get". These are most of all the ones recommended here. If their is something I missed and should be added to the list let me know. Or if something should be removed. I will later on add scope rings and bases/rails. The scopes start at lowest price to highest. Enjoy

Great idea.

Add the Weaver Grand Slam Tactical 3-10x40 from Midway.

Thanks. I'm really hoping it will help cut down on the same questions asked 10 times a week.

It's already up there. Falls in the weaver tactical $700-$800. I didn't put magnification range. I looked at the lower end to the upper end and put the average prices for those scopes.

Rem R5 with Leupy Mk 4

four round zero and then three shot group...with an adjustment in shot three of the group. Packed up and went home.

About 2500 bucks total.

What about Chrstensen Arms AR-10 .308. Match grade Shillen barrel, modified and wrapped in their proprietary carbon fiber (they claim it lasts 25% longer than a regular match grade barrel). Custom Timney trigger, titanium flash suppressor. Also, all metal on metal parts are lined with, i think, nitrate boron (supposedly stronger than chrome). They boast 1/4 MOA at 100 meters. I don't know why they don't have all the specs on the web site, but I'm going to email them to get a complete list.

It'd be nice to see the rifles arranged in order of increasing price also.

A DTA SRS for $2,800???....I think not. That is the price for the chassis only.

A functional rifle (with barrel, bolt and mag) is more in the $4,676 range, depending if you get the optional monopod or not.

Changed the price on the rifle. The website on saw the rifle on specified it as a whole rifle. I'll arrange the rifles in order of price when I get some free time.

Any chance someone has a list like that for rings and mounts?

I am looking to pick up a 700 soon and have been looking around at rings and bases.

I have an ADM Recon that I was hoping to be able to switch on/off my precision AR but I've read that the sight over bore is much different.
Open to ideas on that also.

Great list btw.

How about the Remington 700 VAR SF? I've had the chance to shoot this back to back with my SPS varmint and it shot just a tad better but with a little less weight and a stainless barrel. Splits the difference between the SPS and the $1000 models

I know I may take some flak for this, but I think the Burris Xtreme Tactical rings are great value for their cost.

There have been a few reports of them not being square or true to the rail, but all the sets I have had I have never had to lap. I know they are not the most highest precision, but I feel like they are a good buy for beginners who don't want to break the bank.
