THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT So I know that they're high quality and chrome lined. Here's my question; are they "slicker" due to the CL? Has anyone chrony'd, say a FN 24" (or 20") barrel against a factory Rem SPS, P, or 5R barrel of the same length with the same ammo? I'd be curious to see a comparison. Thanks |

Curious as well. Has anyone really tested what a 20" FN barrel is capable of?

I can compare it to my White Oak service rifle barrel.
Not much difference shooting 77s SMKs or Noslers on top of RL 15. They hover at arund 2700 fps from both barrels. |

It's very difficult to do a comparison of just one each and have the results mean anything. You really need to pull a group of rifled from different production days.
Even so, I don't think you would see much difference. If it's a concern, then you should be purchasing a custom barrel. |
