as you can see the bolt handle is rotated down. the firing pin is stuck in the fire position. i have tried for 30 minutes by hand to fix this as i don't have any tools with me. does anyone know if this can be fixed and how?
i can not put the bolt back in the gun because the shroud is in the way

Go to your counter top where there is a sharp 90 degree angle. Put the sear part of the striker against the counter top and push the bolt body down. When you get it down a little bit you will be able to rotate the bolt body and re cock the striker.

Been there....and did that the hard and frustrating way several years ago.
Never thought to consult the interwebs, just muscled the damned thing. "Work smarter not harder".

Does the Tikka come with a bolt tool? I was surprised that one was included with my Sako A7, and it's handy for reassembling the bolt, which comes apart without encouragement.

Mine is plastic with a big knob and an interior that obviously fits over the bolt shroud, and yes, it's an odd looking thing to find in a box with a rifle.

I bought myself a Remington 700 bolt disassembly tool... best investment ever. They got real cheap ones on ebay. You don't have to buy anodized aluminum/steel/admantium ones, the white plastic one with mystery metal claw works.

The Tikka and SAKO bolt assembly/disassembly is more similar to a Mauser or Winchester bolt, but simpler.

Put the bolt body in a padded vise and then rotate.
