I bought an 03A3 action a few days ago, apparently it was a drill rifle and the ring has been cut slightly, but all threads are intact. The missing material is very minimal and from everything I've been told, it is salvageable. Wether that be by use of a shim our what have you.

I've posted in the C&R section and GD, so I thought I would try here.

Is there anything that can be done here and if so, who could do it?

No personal experience, but I found this article, which may be of interest.

how many times are you going to post this?

Not being a jerk, I was just trying to follow up with some questions in one of the threads then got confused with the two others when I couldnt find the posts I was trying to reference.

I dont think you are going to get much different responses...

I figure the more exposure the more likely I am to find a solution.

I finally did find a solution on another site, but it is going to be much more work than it is going to be worth. At this point I'm going to turn it into a wall hanger if I can find the parts at a reasonable cost.

If not, it will sit in my desk.

I would be interested in buying it from you or trade for anything.

What was their solution?
