I'm trying to remove the magazine tube stud on my Glenfield 30 and it is not budging. I've soaked it in WD40. The gun is almost 50 years old, but any suggestions?

If you are talking about the Forearm Tip Tenon (#28), then will need to use some heat, since it's loctite in place.

As for the rest, they are all bolts isntead. And again, they too may need some heat to break down any loctite used as well before the bolt will unscrew out.

It's just a dovetail stud. I don't want to hit it too hard, though, because I don't want to deform the metal. I'm going to try rigging up something similar to a sight pusher with my vice.

Maybe on a sight pusher tool, but leather jaws in a vise and an arbor press may be better. Also, heat will help to allow it slip bettter in the dove tail channel, hence it may have been loctite during it factory install.

As for if you are going to reinstall it, use 272 loctite when you go to reinstall it.

The dovetail may be wider to one side, so it only goes in/out from one side.
