I bought a cheap one at the fun show.

It mush haven soft cast, as the area that tightens up the barrel nut is worn.

Which wrench to purchase?  thanks

I don't have one, but the Magpul looks decent.

I have a big, heavy, Smith Enterprise wrench. Works great provided you don't want to use it for muzzle devices. But for barrel nuts it's choice.

Can't tell you which one to get but I can tell you don't get this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005LVMSD0?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00
Kept slipping off the barrel nut.

I bought the Magpul after having to replace two other armorers/barrel wrenches and I can say it is one of the best quality tools I have bought in a while. I totally recommend it.

I've had a few barrel wrenches. 3 pin GI, DPMS, Smith Enterprises, Accuracy Speaks, BRD Engineering, 2UniqueLLC and a 7 pin prototype wrench from ARFCOM member jsteih.

In total I have had 8 wrenches because I have 2 from 2UniqueLLC.

For my use (standard barrel nuts) the 9 pin wrenches from 2UniqueLLC are the best barrel wrenches I've ever had. The long handle version is made specifically for factory assembly line use. You can see it starting at the 3:50 minute mark in this video. > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4j_4t6Zu51I

I bought a 2unique wrench on the above recommendation. I already had a few wrenches, but get tired of teeth coming off of barrel nuts periodically. This this is beefy and very reasonably priced! Thanks for the tip. Spreading the stress over 9 pins will certainly help.

I hope the 2Unique wrenches work well for you guys, I really like mine so far.

The wrench from BRD Engineering is great as well, it has longer pins than the pins used on the 2Unique wrenches so it's better for use on barrel nuts without a delta ring.

Magpul is the way to go,  I've used many over the years, they got it right.
