I am bedding my Rem 700 action into an HS-P stock and an wondering roughly how much Devcon to mix.
100, 200, 500 grams ?

I have blocked off the mag well so there shouldn't be much loss through it and I am only doing the lug to the tang.

To answer my own question for future bedders, 100 grams would be enough. From what I had left in my mixing bowl, I used 92 grams.

It is definitely better to have MORE than you need rather than less.  There is a plus to Acra Glass, by the way and that is it's working time.  You don't have to rush with Acra Glass.

Devcon is cheap on Amazon, FYI.  All I did is clean the excess synthetic stock material off the bedding blocks of my two 700s whth HS Precision stocks. Proper torque on the bolts with red loctite work just fine for me.   I use Devcon for auto body work.

No pics, just remove the stock and you will see some excess plastic on the bedding blocks.  Easy to remove with a sanding block. I figure metal on metal is good enough for me.  My LTR is plenty accurate.

The one Devcon product I miss was their Kevlar filled epoxy.....I wish they still made that....

I have always used modelling clay to get an idea of required volume.

Then mixed at least 50% more based on volume.

If you make a cube of modelling clay you could convert from volume yo weight after adjusting for ther density difference between clay and epoxy.

Going to be a bit of a PITA to bother though.
