Over thirty years ago I bought Halleck's book on the 1911.  This was better than Bill Wilson's book. Today I received the above and it is truly impressive.  Fitting of barrels, theories on lockup, peening of rails.  It's certainly different from the '80s when I took a class at Lassen College on the 1911.  The book has very good text that is supported by drawings and excellent photography. It's well worth the money.
