I just purchased a new production M70 Super Grade in 7mm08. I will be mounting a Swarovski 3-9x36 Habicht scope on it. The bluing on the rifle is really quite nice and compares favorably to the bluing on my early 60s colt python. I would like some complimentary bases and rings and have considered Talley lightweights, Leupold Dual Dovetails, and conetrols. Any advice? Any other brands to look at? Apart from performance, I am looking for something low profile and with good bluing to match the rifle. Thanks!

We've been putting on gloss leupold bases and they have been well received.

Thanks. Any particular style you'd recommend as far as dual dovetails or the single dovetail? Also, what height would you recommend for a 36 mm objective scope with 1 inch tube?
