I guess it depends on what you expect.

I would suggest sending it out for cerakote or to someone to blue.

I use the rust/blue remover all the time.  That's about it, the rest of the kit has never been opened and it's been on my wall for two years.

I used it on my Swiss K31 and turned out excellent!

I applied about 5 coats, repeating each step per the instructions and wiped it down with alcohol before each coat and pretty much drenched it with the super
Blue.
I think it's good when you want to get rid of rust before hand and I used a copper dremmel wheel to remove all the rust. I think the whole process took about 3 hours.
I will post pics when I can

my experience with their cold blue and stock refinishing products...in pictures

final

I thought the products were real fun and easy to work with.  The finished product looked wonderful.  Its been over 2 years since I did the refinish and the results today are the same as they were then.  Has held up very well.

I reblued the barrel of my Dad's truck gun earlier using the Birchwood Paste blue.

Like Storm said, multiple coats are the key.

And knowing that it is a home cold blue and not a professional hot blue.

But for $8 and few hours and it came out pretty good.
