I'm looking at a used S&W 327 PC w/ the 2" barrel. It's a really nice gun, scandium frame w/ titanium cylinder, with a bit of finish flaked off the body near the cylinder.
But the biggest issue is the cylinder: it's very tight when I try to swing it out. It seems to close in fine, but it takes a good bit of pressure to swing it out.

So, what could be the issue? Is it a gun to avoid?
If ti's worth it, I can save some money over a new one. But that almost stuck cylinder worries me.

It might be that the ejector rod is too long and needs to be filed down slightly to allow for the ejector rod pin clear the front locking lug....

Check for a powder or crud build up behind the ejector star or whad-deva it is called.
