Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Howa 1500 Mount/Ring combo for SWFA 3-15x42

Hi All,

I have a Howa 1500 in .308 with a Varmint barrel (.830 OD). Can I use the TPS TSR 30mm Super Low steel rings (.820) mounted on a Warne 20 MOA steel base with a SWFA 3-15x 42mm scope?

Would this setup allow clearances for:
Butler Creek caps
Cat tail lever on scope and
Oversized tactical bolt knob
