ok, i realize this has been talked about on a million forums, and i have probably read half of them. problem is the exact answer never seems to be anywhere. i realize the pkt parts are not interchangeable with pkm parts and some modifications have to be done. however, my question is, if i have a pkm receiver, pkt barrel, and pkt parts kit, what is it actually MISSING? i realize the fcg is going to be one problem and people often fabricate it out of an ar trigger group, but is there even more to it than that? is the whole project even remotely feasible?

You will need to a stock. Im not sure how the rear trunnion is setup on the PKT. Im not completely familiar with the PKT kits. I have only dealt with PK and PKM so far. The best place fr this question would be over on Weapons Guild

 

I've done it...

Need a Stock, FCG, Gripstick, and a rear trunnion. I machined a steel rear trunnion from scratch, although I have seen them and FCG's on Broker for $$$.  The front trunnion is different, but your receiver can be modded to work with it (a couple rivet holes are in the wrong spot and must be welded In and re-drilled & swaged. (I built mine on a re-welded PKT receiver) - If you do this you have to mod the FCG opening to accept the FCG from a PKM.  IIRC you can't use a PKM Bipod on a  PKT BBL either, but chances are you BBL is dead anyway. I made a new BBL copied form my PKM so it was moot. Flash hider is different as well.
