You could probibly find CFRP tubing online. I think there's an automotive company called road race engineering tha does custom carbon fiber work. If you choose to buy and cut your own tubing, Wear a N95 mask and use a vacuum for the dust. Wash dust off your skin with cold running water.

http://www.dragonplate.com/ Like stated above wear a mask if you cut it. Even though it always goes over like a lead balloon around here, If you just want the look and texture you could use 3M Di-NOC textured vinyl. I've played around with it a little on some pmags and the dust cover of my RFB.
