Ok guys,
Here's the deal. I have a 10/22 with a 16" fluted .920" Green Mtn. barrel with Williams fire sights. It's cool. I have a Tech Sight rear sight. It's cool. Now, problem is, with the Tech Sight rear sight and the Fire Sight front sight, I'm shooting high..not cool. So, I need some sort of riser for the front sight. I bought one from Williams, but it's a standard type riser for dovetail sights. The Fire Sight front sight on the barrel is the screw on type, like you would see on a heavy barrel Ruger MkII/III pistol so a normal dovetail riser no workie. Suggestions?

Best option is to just buy a higher Williams sight:

I'd contact the Brownell's Tech Staff or go direct to Williams. I'd bet that they make the sights in higher sizes.

Back up.
How viable is the "right of self-defense" if you must first beg governments permission to defend your life with a gun?

You are to close to the target. if you back up your shots will drop right in.

I should of just said Tag for more info, cause that's what I really meant.

That's what I thought you meant, but I don't think it's a matter of distance. The original fire sights are like on a traditional 10/22...front are rear are barrel mounted. However, I want to use the receiver mounted TechSight, which means the front sight needs to come up. I wonder if the front sight they make for the tapered barrel MkII would work or if that's still not tall enough?

Williams does make a higher front sight, at least for the dove tail type. I tried the receiver mounted peep sight and as a set, it comes with a higher front sight.

Welp,
I called Williams, they don't come any higher. I called Tech Sights to see how far the adaptor slides on the barrel with the hopes of just drilling a hole in the adaptor so it would line up with the hole where the front sight screw is...11/16". I called GM to ask where the hole is drilled 1 5/16"....there goes that plan. I don't know what it would cost to have a riser fabb'd and mounted.
