9" BLK with Omega and stock at position 2 is about the same length as an MPX with Multimount and collapsible stock.
MP5 is longer than both by a few inches.

Honestly no I wouldn't go out and buy blk, its expensive to shoot and 9mm if perfectly fine for home defense just not as powerful but still good enough.
PCCs are more fun anyway imo. Everyone can have their opinion but its odd to hear such strong ones from people who've clearly never seen more than a few GSWs from a 9, if any at all.

Here are some pics. MPX, BLK m16 with troy pdw, and BLK SBR. Blackout M16 with pdw stock next to 11.5 M16 with TREK-T.

Some interesting videos. Check out the slow motion on these gel hits. Pretty insane!

That sig 120 is pretty insane, especially out of an 8" barrel. Damn that blackout rifle is shorter than my MP5.
Its easy to see why these short rifles are taking over.

The 9mm is a handgun round. Putting it in a carbine does not increase the velocity much over a handgun.  So the stopping power is not increased that much over a handgun.  The advantage is shot placement and the ability to put more rounds on target vs. a handgun.   Comparing the 9mm to a .223 or 7.62 round it loses.   Entry teams across the USA dropped MP5's in favor of 5.56 carbines and SBRs.  The 5.56 round has much more stopping power.   The myth of a 9mm round not overpenetrating vs a 5.56 round is just not true. Both will penetrate sheetrock. The question is what round has more lethality after going through sheet rock?  I was under the impression the 5.56 round broke up and was less lethal after going through sheetrock but now I am not sure.

It is today, but at its invention it was not from what I understand.  It was originally designed as a submachinegun round to be fired from barrels ranging in size from 7-10".  I would think that this is backed up by a lot of charts to be found online showing velocity gains dropping off significantly once the barrel reaches the 9 or 10 inch point.
