So after building a fullsize uzi pistol on a McKay enterprises receiver and bolt, I haven't had the chance to file my SBR paperwork yet, But I am loving this uzi build more than the 9mm AR SBR it replaced, It suppresses very very well, and even as a large pistol it is still pretty easy to shoot, I modified a QD sling cup to mount on the rear of the receiver where the stock would mount. It shoots very well, and is reliable, But I have check the clearance on the top cover to make sure its in spec..However when I take the top cover off it tends to cut me, So I figure I have a few sharp edges to file down. I really want one of the Rail systems for it so I can mount a light to it.

I am surprised at the ease and simplicity of the UZI when assembling it, Only really needed a Screwdriver to tighten the grips down.

So, who else here has an UZI in any form, post a pic.

Where did you purchase your receiver and parts?  I've been curious about them for a while.

I mounted a TDI rail bayonet lug adapter on mine, you may want to look into it. Also, there is a guy at Uzi Talk that sells refinished top covers with a mount, I put a Burris FastFire 2 on mine.

I also have a McKay UZI. It runs great.

I have since added a K-grip which is awesome, and unlike in my picture below, lightly blasted the magwell grips to match the k-grip

I SBR'd an UZI Pro Pistol.  Love this thing as the ergos with the TitleII stock are perfect and the recoil is nonexistent.  Suppressed with sub sonics, this thing is a dream to shoot.

Sarco has Uzi kits...McKay has receivers (and flats though I've not seen anyone successfully complete on but I've not searched hard for it)....I am seriously tempted...

It is hard to tell side by side, but if you lay one on top of the other the UZI is actually 1/4" shorter then the VZ61.

I don't have a pic of my Vector. It just sits in the safe, waiting for the NFA paperwork to clear.

MagDogDan, I know Uzi mags won't work in an Uzi Pro without modification, but will Uzi Pro mags or modified mags still work in an Uzi?

Basically, I might be interested in getting an Uzi Pro one day if the mags can still work between guns, even if I have to modify them a bit.

Spade:  Yes the mags made for the UZI Pro will work with ALL other models of UZI no matter how old they are.  They will not work the other way around.  The new Pro mags have the mag catch notch milled into the side and the older mag slot on the bottom for all other models.  I have been buying them directly from IWI-US on their web site.  Since IWI-US is in my home state everything I order from them is on my doorstep the next day.

20 round mags are $17
25 round mags are $19
32 round mags are $22

Unless the prices have changed this year.

About a month and a half into the stamp wait..... I had a full size Uzi sbr a few years ago, the mini stock is far more comfortable.

IMI model B.  I think I've got 13 mags for it now.  It's seen about 1400 rounds since I got it last year.  No dust on this thing, all my friends demand I bring it whenever we go shooting.

I'd like to get an UZI PRO, but I think I'll wait to see if IWI offers a SBR kit with the factory stock and grip.

I used a Nodak/McKay complete receiver, and a McKay bolt kit as well as an RTG completion kit. I had lots of fitment issues with the top cover (which is common) and recently sold it off and bought a bolt gun.

Its too big for a pistol and too wimpy for a rifle. I also have a title 2 M11/9 so a semi uzi in comparison is meh.

I have an SBR Uzi in ATF jail. We are fighting over what the model number is. The one stamped on the weapon or the one on the seller's paperwork.

I talked with Mr. Kasner at SHOT.  That is not going to happen.  They have no plans for that offering in the near or distant future.
