My buddy bought a EVO last week and decided that he would prefer his SIG brace to be folding. He bought a Stormwerkz folding adapter and milled off the end of the factory end cap, and then TIG welded the two together. It works great, the tube could be a little lower and it needs some paint but overall it's a success.

I liked the whole thing enough that I bought it off him.

Great idea!  I also like it folded for compactness.

Too bad it folds to the left and can't be operated while folded.

Why can't it? The charging handle can be moved over to the right side and used as the bolt release.

I guess I just assumed he was right handed. If he is a lefty, I stand corrected.

I bought the gun from him, and while I am Right handed I do shoot Lefty due to eye dominance.

I'm pretty happy with it, will hold me over until I can SBR it and the compliance kits hit.

In the big Evo thread, Manticore just announced that they're designing a stock too.
