Cut to 16-1/4" by www.jpgrips.com, Threaded too, Volquartsen sear @2# trigger. Vortex Crossfire 2-7x32 BDC
So, pistol caliber carbine..... by a slight stretch

Whisper quiet with 38 Special, working on a 245gr CB load right now. Got an Octane 9 coming and it will see plenty of use on here.

130gr 38 Special fired from suppressed 77-357 from 125yds. All you hear is the ~WhizZ~ then thunk into the backdrop.

~INCOMING!!!~

That's me in an orange jacket top center of screen up on my 100' high ridge. Very hilly property.

Firing at :11, :31, 1:12 and 1:34 if you want to speed up. They all sound about the same really so just grab the :11 and play it a few times for effect.

Nice rifle, price charged for bbl cut and thread.

Is that back door and steps for display only?

I plan on getting a lever action in 357.  Hell of a camp and deer gun.

Move to the country man! Or just buy a place in the country to have fun at like I did.

Here are the details on where we were, my Hunting Cabin and deer management property.

Only my Son and I were there at the time.

My experimental super heavy subsonic load. 245gr powder coated cast bullet, SAECO 352 on 10gr of Lilgun in a 38 SPL case. Fits and feed well. God my camera sucks at macro....

Details on your experimental 245 grain load?    What primer are you using, and what fps are you getting?

Primer is WSP, have yet to fire or chrono load, should be able to get to it next weekend.

Basing the data off this load backed down; http://www.handloads.com/loaddata/default.asp?Caliber=357%20Magnum&Weight=250&type=Handgun&Order=Powder&Source=

Can't find a specific 245gr load in any of my books or online.
Unique, bullseye, W296 and H110 might all be possible too.

Just be real careful to confirm that the gun will stabilize a bullet that long & heavy before running any thru the suppressor. A baffle strike would surely suck.

First thing I do with any load.

Guy in 77/357 thread in suppressors forum was using 300gr. Stable flight but could not get above 850fps or so.

Wish I could use those in my levergun. My single-shot suppressed H&R .357 has a fast-enough twist that I'm comfortable to 180's or so, but the Puma 357 levergun (like a lot of leverguns) has a slow 1:30 twist , so I stick to 158's and lighter in it, in order to maintain accuracy and avoid the danger of baffle strikes...

FIL trying it out;

More load testing;

245gr pccb SAECO 352
38spl brass
WSP primer
Lil'gun powder
OAL to fit mag

10 shot avg. Chrony Beta

7.3gr 972fps 514fpe

7.5gr 1000fps 544fpe

7.7gr 1042fps 590fpe

8.0gr 1080fps 634fpe

8.2gr 1087fps 643fpe

8.5gr 1106fps  665fpe

50yd groups

one five shot group with three follow ups after six-up six rt adjustment

Looks like 7.7-7.8gr is my Lil-gun load. Put a few 7.7's through the Osprey and it is stapler quiet and really rocks steel gongs.
It seriously wants to shoot bughole groups. I may break down and get a .359 sizer.
