I was thinking about one of these:

http://www.webyshops.com/images/Leupold/LEUPOLD-DeltaPoint-Reflex-Sight-7-5-MOA-Delta-Mounting-Kit-65930-Pic2.jpg

I figure with all of the mounting options there should be something to give an absolute cowitness. Thoughts?

For those that bought the Sparc 2, how does it cowitness?

My OCD won't allow anything but absolute

Absolute cowitness would be really low with a stock on it in my opinion but I have not tried it yet either

I went with the Meopta M-Rad 5 moa dot. It doesn't cowitness in any way and that is a great thing for me. Keep in mind that the Scorpion's bus doesn't flip down and out of the way.... so they will ALWAYS be in your optic's already small sight window... if you choose to cowitness. It has a QD mount just in case your high quality optic somehow goes down during that "never gonna happen" shootout. If it does happen...it only takes 0.67 seconds to remove and you'll stay right in the action. You'll also get to enjoy a clean sight picture for the life of the gun.

I have since moved the optic to the furthest point on the receiver... right where it meets the fore end. It works well there.

Edit to add pic.

I threw one of those on my Scorpion as a place holder and the sight picture is cluttered. That optic needs some type of riser or take the BUIS off.

Awesome. No risers at all? I love these red dots, super affordable and awesome performance. Plus I get deep military discounts at the local Bushnell factory outlet lol

No riser needed at all for an absolute co-witness. The Bushnells have excellent battery life too. I've had one turned on for over a year now and it's still going strong.

The comparable Primary Arms red dot that sells for $79 has approximately a 41 day battery life.

I'm a big fan of them also. I run them on just about everything except my target stuff. Unbeatable value, not sure why people spend more for comparable red dots.

Does anyone use flip up BUIS on their scorpion along with a red dot? Thinking about an RMR with something like the magpul pro sights for a nice low profile

Prefer to have a setup with a QD mount and no cowitnessing for a clear sight picture.

Lots of recommendations here... any chance of more photos of your setups? Wanting mine to be aesthetically pleasing.

I really like the Meopta, though from what I've read it seems to go through batteries a little faster than I'd like.

It takes CR1632 batteries which are super cheap(and small). I keep around 20 of them in my bag. I haven't had any issues with dead batteries yet but the Scorpion isn't getting used much in pistol form. The batteries will retain thier charge for years if just sitting though... so it shouldn't be an issue for HD gun. Just change em whenever if it's getting used alot. I really like it and would buy it all over again if I had to.

Here are a couple pics for reference.

Primary Arms Micro Dot

Top of rail to center of irons sights approx: 15mm

Top of rail to center of red dot approx: 18.5mm

So this would be about a "Lower 2/5th" co-witness. With eye level with red dot, the dot will be right on top of the rear circle / rear sight aperture.

Thinking of using one on a Scorpion... not sure if it'd sit too high up though over something like the Sparc II or a T2 Aimpoint.

Can some tell me the height of the cz scorpion sights?  I need the measurement from top of rail to to of sight.
I'm wanting to add a set of these to a rifle with a Acog. There 3/4 clear right now. Wondering if they'll fit.

Outstanding. I am wanting something a little higher. Don't care about co witness. Just don't want chin weld. using the factory mount now, and it's a bit cluttered. would rather leave the factory sights and have a QD mount.

Neither of the mounts in the picture co-witness.  The irons are a little too low in the sight picture.  The top mount is the lowest AD for Aimpoint T1 and the bottom one is the lowest AD mount for the Burris Fastfire with a Vortex Venom 3 MOA mounted.  Very light and fast.

The AD mounts are quick release.  Are the sparc 2 mounts QR?  I didn't think they were.  QR is a must for me.  I don't like cowitness with fixed iron sights.  Too congested of view.

I m trying to find an option similar to using flip up sights on an AR with a rds. They'll cowitness when up but stay out of your sight picture when down the rest of the time so the red dot is the only thing you're using to aim.
Does this make sense?
I guess I'm trying to find out what rds might offer some slightly higher mounting options so it's above the factory BUIS all the time. If the rds fails, you toss it aside and still have the BUIS to use.
OR what flip up BUIS sites could be used to replace the fixed factory ones so they still out of the way of the rds site picture. The magpul Gen 2 ones seem a bit high even folded down.
Ideas?
Thx

On the reccomendations of others here I picked up the ADM low mount link for my PA Micro Dot and for me it's perfect.  I don't know if it is exactly 1/3 but the factory irons co-witness easily through the bottom of the optic and the dot is now significantly above the irons when I am not using them. It also is QD if that is important to you.

Honestly when I was just using the mount that came with the micro dot it was the first time that I had ever used an absolute co-witness set up. It really wasn't as problematic as I thought that it would be.  I was surprised how intuitive it became after a pretty short period of time. I really only "saw" the sights if I was actually paying attention to them.

I'm kinda amazed how many people are leaving their irons on.... Then again, you're mostly all using cheap chinese optics, so I guess it makes sense.

I'll move my H1 to the Evo and pick up an H2 for the AR. No irons on the Evo. I'm absolutely confident after having shot with my optics off on my ARs that I can easily make hits to 100y on man sized targets with a good cheek weld and the tube as a reference. I won't be shooting the Evo that far most likely.

I have a Vortex Spitfire 1X in the box waiting on my Scorpion Evo...
If I don't like that, I will go with the Primary Arms Adv Micro RDS, I have one on an AK right now and really like it.

I am using the H1 off of my AR on my evo. I used the opportunity to upgrade my AR optic to a H2.

The H1 on the evo has worked just fine. I am using the factory aimpoint mount which gives me an absolute cowitness.

I am also using a H1 micro. I got my eotech refund and replaced the H1 that was on my duty rifle with a new T2 micro.  I used the factory low mount that came with the T2 and placed it on the H1.  The H1 is awesome on the scorpion.
