Since I already had a 1911 and a bunch of leftover AR-15 parts, I figured a base Mech Tech 1911 with some home-brewed mods might be fun. Installed a forward rail for a front sight, painted the barrel and went with the buffer tube adapter for the stock.

I have some interest. Hey OP, how about some reflection on how it shoots, accuracy, fun factor etc. I think they call it a range report

I have one for a G17, its been a good few years now sense I have ran the thing.

Its a 10 on the fun factor  I have a cheap chi-com red dot mounted on it and I was surprised as to how accurate it actually shot..
