I have a 9mm upper and like it very much. It's a M169 integral suppressed upper and it has proven to be reliable and quiet. For pistol rounds I've standardized on 9mm and 40cal. I'd like to leverage the pile of 40cal ammo and pursue a 40cal upper. I'm curious to know what options we have in 40 cal? I've found the RRA 40 and OLY with it's proprietary mags, are there other options that have proven reliable? I'd like something in the 10" range, so that I can put my ti-rant 45 can on it.

You should probably post this question in the AR-15 / Rimfire & Pistol caliber forum if we're talking AR uppers, this forum is for non-AR PCCs. Other than RRA & Olympic I don't know of anyone else who makes a .40 blowback upper but Ron Williams (RWXtreme) makes direct impingement AR uppers for many calibers including .40 S&W. Not sure what kind of mags Ron is using, Olympic uses a proprietary AR sized mag that doesn't require a magwell block, I think RRA uses a steel mag of their own design similar to the 9mm SMG Colt style mag & block.

I think Lone Wolf makes a 40 cal AR upper and lover that uses Glock mags. Your other options are as fallows.
1) Lone wolf Upper and MGI hydra lower GLock mags
2) JR Carbine in 40
3)TNW ASR in pistol form
4) CX4 storm
Those are the ones that I know that fit in the PCC page.

Quarter Circle 10 has lowers that use Glock magazines & lowers that use Colt style mags.

I have a Glock lower that I have a 9MM & 40 upper on them. I built both uppers.
