KelTec Sub 2000 in Glock 9mm but they are nearly impossible to find and very overpriced.

TNW's Aero take down carbine and pistols in 45ACP
http://tnwfirearms.com/complete-guns/asr-aero-survival-rifle.html
They were $550 from Centerfire for awhile

I had one in 9mm for awhile, but ended up selling it and just building another AR

may i ask why?

i have been considering just building on a ddles large frame lower, but that would probably be just as expensive.

Sure did. Way past time for me to hit the sack!

ETA: There are some Glock "conversion" carbine products out there, e.g., MechTech. Looks kinda cool but by the time you add on all the shit you need, it's pricey.

The TNW ASR comes in a Glock version. They have gone up in price since they first came out however. They aren't under $600 any more. You would have to poke around to find what they are going for now.  I just spoke with them Saturday at Knob Creek. They have made like 3,000 of them now so while they are not abundant they are more common.  They have improved them since new. They had the normal teething problems with the first few hundred.

The other easy choice is the Just Right Carbine. It can be had to take either Glock or 1911 magazines. They were selling for around $700 or so if you shop wisely.

I have both of the above and both work OK. If I could only have one it would be the JRC. If I needed a lightweight break down rifle to carry in a bag I would go with the ASR as it was created to do just that.

My JRC in 9mm works great.  I'd consider checking out the .45 GLOCK mag version!

... but only if you're willing to SBR one of your 21s (or live somewhere outside the US, in a place where bbl length + stock isn't an issue).

* FTR, I am still doing T&E on this so don't view this as a blanket endorsement yet.  That said, I like it very much so far.  Testing it with an inexpensive TruGlo RDS, but most likely I will put an EOTech on it when I am done.  And I anticipate liking it all the more once my Octane 45HD gets out of NFA jail.

. . . FWIW, they are supposed to be introducing a long-bbl/non-NFA conversion as well, but I haven't seen one yet.

How long of a barrel can be used on a pistol whose muzzle flips up each cycle (as the slide moves back and forward)?

And as far as a pistol-based NFA goes, aren't the stock and foregrip the NFA issues rather than the length of barrel?

16", if you import the Austrian aftermarket bbl w/o a current importer & w/ the gas assisted slide shoving lug.  Which is why CAA hasn't come out w/ a non-SBR stocked version, and prefers to make instant felons out of unsuspecting gun show buyers.  However, if you took off the commonly illegal stock & VFG & threw a SIG arm brace on there, you might be GTG.

As an arm brace, they work well, apparently.  As a substitute for a $200 tax stamp, they are not as good as the real thing, but have significant legal advantages.  I've not seen any letters from BATFE on the legalities of mounting an arm brace on a more traditional pistol, but I expect they will have to write some shortly.

or this. fab defense kpos. the cocking mechanism is supposed to be better on the kpos since it pushing the front of the slide back instead of gripping the slide like the roni.

I didn't shoot it much. The trigger on mine left a lot to be desired. I'm not a trigger freak by any means, but it was rough.

One thing I really like about the JRC....uses LOTS of AR parts like the furniture and triggers, etc. Makes it easy to customize it without breaking the bank.

I have a JR carbine in .45acp, mainly use the 13 round factory Glock mags, runs great and surprisingly accurate at 50 yards with 185 grain ammo. Overall a lighter package than my 9mm RRA AR. This, the Theuron and the TNW Aero are the only rifles I know of under a grand that use .45acp Glock mags besides the Mech Tec conversion.

+1

I would take the JRC over the Mech Tec conversion but that is more a personal thing as the JRC just fits me well and works well. Also, the JRC can be converted to other calibers, both .40 and 9mm in addition to the .45. Same goes for the TNW ASR.   And..the ASR is coming in a .22 or .22 Mag conversion sometime soon.

I wonder if my JRC in 9mm could be converted to a Glock 45 model, or is it that you can't move up that big.

Saw a JRC in 45 at a gunshow this weekend, $700, is that the going rate these days?

Good price for a show, I paid $750 for mine last year from a local shop when prices were still inflated from panic buying. At the time I saw them going for around $850, about $75 to $100 over a 9mm carbine. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it groups 185 gr .45 rounds at 50 yards, next time I take mine out I'll shoot some 185 gr & 230 gr back to back to see the difference in POI @ 50 yards.
