THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
So my paperwork just cam back on my Vector factory SBR and I picked it up today. I had a wooden stock sitting waiting to go on it as I hate the cheek weld of the folder.

So when I went to put it on the receiver has a "bump" on the rear that the folder stock bracket goes over and then the mounting screw goes into that. My wood stock has a "button" on it that would require a hole in the back of the receiver to allow it to slide into place. (Sorry, no pics as I'm at work)

I think I can modify the hardware on the stock by grinding that button off and then drill a hole in the stock hardware to allow the rear receiver "bump" to go into but was wondering if there was a more proper way to do this or if I'm missing something. I figure if worse comes to worse I'll modify the cheap part and try and get it to work.

Thanks

This thread needs pictures...

I've got a wooden stock and a folding stock for my model B UZI, and neither have fit issues. There should be a hole in the back of your receiver that the "button" (if I'm imagining this right) goes into. I wouldn't go drilling/grinding anything yet...

Sounds like you have a full auto QD uzi stock.

Might be easiest to call Vector and see if they have one of the metal hardware brackets for their polymer/wood solid stocks in the spare parts bin.

Either way you will have to mod the wood a little bit.

I'll see if I can snap some pics of what I did when I installed a wooden stock- my Vector Uzi had come with a solid semi poly stock and I just swapped the hardware.

Yeah, it is one of the SMG quick detach stocks and didn't think it would be a problem but hadn't seen the Uzi for long or in a while since I was waiting for paperwork to come back.

I figured if need be I would grind on the cheap and easily replaceable part (stock bracket) and not screw with the receiver. I'll snap some pics tomorrow then to clear things up a bit. I may give Vector a call and see if they have the brackets available, thanks.
