i have seen this same question about various models of k-t's on several boards and what seems to be the case is their real money makers such as the pf-9 and p-32. they are churning out thousands of day in and day out. their more specialty guns that have a more limited market such as the sub 2k and especially the rfb they tool up and make a few thousand in batches and then switch to another model. this can be very frustrating for those of us who want a specific gun. in my case the rfb and also the pmr-30. but in the economy we are in and the rise in popularity of concealed carry this is a pretty smart business decision. the guns you consistently sell you churn out and the ones that will sell but not in as great of numbers you only make a few hundred so you dont have a bunch of guns sitting on the shelves waiting to be sold for who knows how long.

I have one. It came new with the Smith and Wesson mag. Kel-Tec sent me the Sig mag release for free. It can also accept the Berreta mag release. Less than 100 rounds through it. Box papers and all. Any of you living in the "free states" willing to trade a pre-ban lower, send me a pm. I like it, shoots great, never jammed. But it has become a safe queen.

I think that KT needs to step into 2004 and drop the S&W 59 mag and come out with a M&P mag.

Yeah, it's pretty much this, and that I suspect KT/Kelgren are extremely conservative when it comes to finance. They probably refuse to buy any CNC tooling, or hire new staff, unless they can afford it out of their profits. Most businesses with un-met demand like KT's would take every loan they could get, ramp up production, and then cross their fingers that the bottom didn't fall out. |

You'll pay $285.-315. for a S2K new or used. I sold one last week for $400! Folks are realizing these things true potential. My judgement of
the PMR isn't in yet cause I still hate the damn magazines, but a real shooter! Originally Posted By Waywar:

Yeah just keep looking. I picked up mine used end of September. Drove 4 hours to get it. But ti was $275 for the 40 cal glock version with 2x 15 rd preban mags and 1x 10rd mag. since I live in NY state, I can only have 10 rd or preban so sweet bonus. Plus the guy threw in an OD Condor light day pack as a carrying case. Found this on Armslist.

They still aren't showing up at gun shows in Texas. Two weeks ago at the show in DFW there was a dealer selling a used Glock version for $500.
![]() I'm seeing a few PLR-16 and PLR-22 at shows. Rarely see an SU-16. Lots of P-3AT, P-32, and P-9. Never seen an RFB or PMR-30. Kel-Tec is missing the train, and eventually someone is going to copy them and grab the market share they're not satisfying.

It's crazy. The gun market that is. Earlier this year I ordered two of the PMR's, both came in four months apart.
I got halfway out the door with the second one when some guy offered me $600. for it. Needless to say I needed the next hard to find firearm (Saiga 12) and sold it on the spot. The Saiga 12 has become another commodity and I can't tell you how many times I'm offered ridiculous cash when I whip out the PMR at the range. Just wait for the new KSG to hit the floor. Gonna be a wild ride. |

Having a hard time keeping a product in stock is good for business over short periods of time, but these things are as rare as hen's teeth and Kel Tec is apparently more interested in creating buzz than in shipping product |

I would buy a Beretta mag one in a heart beat just for fun. I like 9mm carbines and already have four. Two AR's, Marlin Camp 9, and a Beretta Storm. Oh, I also at one time had a High Point which actually was a bargain of a rifle...simple, not pretty but worked 100% and hit the target. I would not pay $400 for one...no way. I would pay MSRP...if I could not find a better deal, but NO, I don't give dealers a big extra mark up for something I can easily live without.

I had a Beretta92 pistol so last year I decided to find a Sub2000 for Beretta.
Sadly, I could only find a Glock version on Gunbroker. So, I asked myself...WWAD??? (What Would ARFCOM DO? I bought the Glock version Sub2000....and then bought a Glock 17 to go with it. Problem solved. Love the guns. by the way. |

At the Pasadena gun show in Texas yesterday I saw two RFBs: $1799 and $1999.
Also saw a Sub-2000 in Glock 40 for $400, another for Kel-Tec's proprietary 10-round 9mm mags for $320. Saw a couple of PLR-16 and PLR-22, and the normal scores of .380/.32/9mm pocket guns. |
