I am actually looking for a Winchester model 94 type rifle in 35 Rem caliber. I want something short and quick to handle in the woods  Does Winchester actually make one? I have not been able to find any. What are the recommendations around here? I really like that caliber    Seems to have more knockdown power than 30.30 in a short rifle

Although I would look for a used one first,  marlin has a 336c model in 35rem. About 500 bux.

I have a .35 Remington Marlin.  Ammo is hard to find. If you reload pm me and I will get you in touch with a guy that converts 7.62 NATO once fired brass into .35 Remington brass. 67 bucks shipped for 100.  .35 Remington is unobtainable around here.

from what I was told .35 Rem ammo is more of a seasonal run.  Around hunting season I see at around, but at around $35 a box.   I have an older Marlin 336 in .35 Rem. from the early 90's.

I have a Remington 7600 Carbine in .35 Rem. and love it. Fleet Farm carries 2-3 different types of Ammo. I buy it on sale and normally pay $27 to $30 per 20 rounds.

that seems like a lot, but nobody ever shoots a ton of huntin ammo.  you sight it in with 3 shots in the fall and you maybe get to shoot a round or two a year killin game.

I hate to tell you guys this, but you just missed a good sale at midwayusa.
I picked up 4 boxes of Remington core lokt for 16.99 a box.

I should've bought more.

Now I have nothing against the 35 Remington cartrage .
May I suggest looking into the .444 Marlin in a Marlin 336
It out preforms the 35 Remington with a larger bullet.
And the straight wall case makes it a little more user friendly to handload.

Academy has all you want, ammo is not a problem with a .35, find a remington, model 8/81
