The receiver on my 1895 was beat like someone used the receiver like a ball bat. Sarah from marlin called me today and is sending me a new 1895.

They sent me a new gun. I haven't picked it up yet. The receiver could not be fixed.

It is truly a sad shame that what once was a great name in American firearms history has been completely destroyed by corporate greed.

Remington's takeover has truly trashed Marlin. Remington itself has been run into the ground.

When looking for Marlin .22s and leverguns, or Remington 700s I immediately look to used guns from the era when corporate vultures had not destroyed these formerly great names.
