Probably, except I prefer the handling of my 20".

Mine's blued, since I think it's a bit harder to sneak around with a stainless steel rifle.

Mine is the last rifle I'd ever get rid of.

I agree with him, I have a 16" carbine in 44, I'd rather it be 4" longer.

Wait!! maybe that didn't sound right. What I mean is I'd rather have the 20" rifle or carbine over the 16" carbine.

20" SS in .44 Magnum here, but I just picked it up as a Christmas present to myself.  I've had it to the range twice now, but haven't had the chance to stretch any shots beyond 25 yards.

Cheapest on GunBroker seems to be $495 in that configuration so yes.

The only caveat = if you're thinking about making this a cowboy action gun then get the 20".  You MUST HAVE the 20" to get the 10 rounds that you will need for the shooting stages.

I played around with some stupid short .38 Spl loads for a 16" version of the .357/.38 chambered variant and it worked...usually.  Finally just went and got a 20" to be right with the world.

Get a 20 and 16.  The 16 is more fun.  I prefer .357.

I got rid of the stupid safety.

I fent! (Last year) and I love it. Originally wanted a 20, but at the time all I could find were 16s.  It is the only rifle I ever took home then immediately tore it apart and started hitting it with a file and a dremel.  It is a lot smoother and I can feed 44 mags easily through the loading gate.  Be careful if you do work on it, easy to take too much off. Ymmv.

I have 16's in .357 and .44, and a 20" in .454; I like the 16" better personally, but at $400 I'd probably be happy with whatever barrel length it came with.

I impulse bought A blued one for $444 and it's one of my favorite rifles.

I don't have a Rossi but I do have both 16" and 20" Marlin 44 mag. lever actions. I like the 16" rifle but it is really loud! To me it handles and points a little better than the 20".  This has nothing to do with your question, but, 80's pulp author Jerry Ahern wrote a book titled River of Gold that featured that rifle. The hero of the story packed a stainless Rossi 44 mag M92 and it featured quite a bit in the story line. So if you get the rifle it might be fun to read the book.
