 I've wanted one forever..I think along with the 94 they are the sexiest lever guns made. I looked at a lot at gun shows and they were either over priced, bubba'd, or had a scope..none of which I was interested in. On a whim I started searching on gunnutz and found an add for one..unmolested... Contacted the seller and 2 weeks later it was here. It's a 300 Savage with the brass rotary magazine..caliber wasn't important to me..the brass was. It's a 1951 vintage and as you can see..the case hardening is still visible on the lever..no cracks in the stocks.. I don't have better pics of it yet. She who must be obeyed doesn't know we adopted it...yet.     |

That one is beautiful! Finish intact on the bottom of the receiver and strong case colours. A great caliber, too.

For $250 I will call the PD back and tell them I found it out in the barn where I left it and had forgotten about it. 
Generally not a good idea to post full S/N pics. Just trying to help a fellow gun crank out

still can't believe I found one in that condition..
I've refinished quite a few over the years and every one has been drilled and tapped for a scope..receivers were pitted, butt stock cracked.. I've got one sitting in my safe now waiting to get done.... |
