THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT I'm looking for something with minimum 1x and maximum of about 6x power... I guess something like 1.5-4x would be ideal. I will need minimum 4" eye relief as I do shoot some heavy recoiling loads in the rifle. Let me add that I do not want a "scout" scope system as I find it difficult to use. I don't have a big budget so lets keep it under $250. Thank you in advance for your suggestion. |

I just put a 2-7 Nikon Prostaff on my 336. I used Talley extra low rings and it is just about perfect. I think the scope I will put on my 1895 will be a Redfield Revolution 2-7 with the same mounts.

I picked up one of the Leupold VR Hog Plex for 300 bills used like new for my AR. Great scope and it has the eye relief that you seek, is 1.25-4x, illuminated, and 30mm tube. They also make a non-illuminated version with the same reticule. I have shot it enough to know it will work on pig, deer, or defense.
Otherwise I would look at the Redfield series in a 2-7. |
