THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT

I have a .357 Ranch Hand and about $200 to blow on it. Right now I'm trying to decide between either cutting the barrel down even more, making it even more compact and getting an action kit from Steves Gunz, or option #2 is SBR it. I'm moderately familiar with the ins and outs of doing this, just trying to decide if that is what I want to do with it. I can use the pistol well enough as it is. I know alot of people knock them for being a novelty but I can easily carry it in my boat, truck, SxS, etc and can hit 8" plates offhand at 100 all day long.

My understanding is a ranch hand is a pistol so you wouldnt have to have the tax stamps if you cut the barrel.

I vote for shortening it even more. That way, there's no NFA paperwork, and it'd look pretty cool.

I'd suggest the action kit either way you go...
The two Ranchhands I've toyed with both were in sore need of some work.... Or a few thousand rounds down range to work the action smooth.

I still want one... Just can't decide which caliber as I reload all three.
