I took it to a local gun smith who cut the barrel to 16.5 inches for me. Much more easy to move around now, will make a fine truck gun. |

How in the hell he ever found and managed to get his hands on such fine firearms like this and the other I have, not to mention the other militaria. Not to mention, I consider myself lucky. |

24" Rossi 357mag rifle, action and trigger job, Williams tang sight and Lyman globe with Shaffer inserts.
![]() I added a coat of Watco Danish Oil, Medium Walnut right over the standard wood finish and it really brought out the color and richness of the wood. The case hardened look of the receiver even looks brighter contrasted again the brighter, richer wood. ![]() 20" Rossi 357mag carbine, action and trigger job, Marbles semi-buckhorn rear sight and bead front, saddle ring and leather wraps. ![]() It too got a new stock finish and now it looks as good as it shoots. ![]() Both are terrific shooters and very accurate even out past 200yds, the rifle with the tang / globe setup is even excellent at 300yds with 158grn Zero JSP bullets. Best of all, even after 3,500 rds through each, they are still silky smooth, accurate, and the triggers are both light and crisp without any sign of grittiness or creep; about the best I could expect from a levergun trigger. And neither one has given me any problems nor had any breakages. |

This was a rusty beat up Glenfield 30A. I used Dura-Coat camo on it(I figured it was in such terrible shape this was the only option). It belongs to a friend of mine, he asked me if there was anything that I could do with it. The camo is called Predator Fall Grey.

A lot of nice leverguns here but I don't get why so many have 'carry handles' on them.

Now you got me needing to get one of these damn things.
What's the hardest hitting caliber in a cost effective package (marlin probably)/non-custom guns? |
